MSc in Addiction Counselling
PROMIS has been providing formal training to existing and prospect Addiction Counsellors since 1995. Our professional training and education programmes here at PROMIS have produced many talented and expert counsellors; that is why we employ them here! Most of our counsellors have themselves completed, or are currently studying on our established MSc programme. We have taught over two hundred and fifty of students from a variety of educational and career backgrounds. Our students include nurses, drug and alcohol workers, recovering addicts and others from a considerable variety of occupations.
London South Bank University with the PROMIS Counselling Centre now offer a part-time Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma/MSc programme in Addiction Psychology and Counselling.
The MSc programme is the only course in the UK to provide in-depth training in addiction psychology and counselling. There is an increasing demand for Addiction Counsellors professionally trained in this way and the popularity of our programme reflects this.
The course is designed to provide students with a broad knowledge of the most reliable and relevant psychological theories of addiction, counselling methods and techniques, whilst developing both critical and clinical acumen.

PROMIS Counsellor Training Positions
We also offer training counselling positions to counsellors at PROMIS. Applicants should send us a copy of their current CV with a cover-letter either by post at the Treatment Center or by email using the link below. Please send all correspondence for the attention of the 'Head of Personnel'.
Health Care Professional Training
We always welcome other health care professionals on shorter courses or even informally to look at different aspects of the treatment process.
