Clair Vainola
Counselling Centre Manager
Clair Vainola attended London University where she obtained a B.A. in Philosophy and then a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Northumbria. Clair worked for the British Government as part of their Drug Intervention Program, setting up the first 24 hour service for addicted populations seeking assistance. Clair undertook DANOS training in Drug and Alcohol Knowledge, Motivational Interviewing, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy, in addition to a certificate in Counselling Skills. Clair has worked as a senior counsellor in Lebanon in an attempt to introduce Twelve Step Recovery and Addiction Treatment in the Middle East. Clair has experiencing facilitating group therapy and family groups, utilizing the Minnesota 12 Step Model. Clair's speciality areas include addiction, compulsive helping, women's group therapy, conjoint and family sessions.
Steve Crowley
Twelve Step Addictions Counsellor
Steve joined PROMIS in July 2008 as an Addictions Counselor. Steve has had connections with the Lefever's for over 10 years and admires both there joint and individual achievements and devotion to the treatment of addiction. Steve specialises in 12 step counselling and has 11 years experience in this field. Alcohol, drug, SLA, Eating Disorders and Family Counselling are his areas of interest. Steve strives to apply the spiritual principles from Alcoholics Anonymous and Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions to the successful rehabilitation of patients at PROMIS.
Russell McVitie
Twelve Step Addictions Counsellor
Russel has been a Twelve Step Counsellor at PROMIS Recovery Centre in Kent since 2006. His experience as a Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor means he has a great deal of knowledge with regard to Health and Fitness. Russ specialise in treating Patients with Eating disorders as his training and knowledge with regard to exercise and nutrition play an active role. Russ aims to get patients to look at their physiological (physical) health as well as thier psychological (mental) health during their stay. At PROMIS we aim to involve some form of connection between our patients achieving and maintaining total sobriety by making lifestyle changes a collation between the mental, physical and spiritual health of themselves.
Immediate Admission
Immediate admission is possible and often necessary as our patients, and their families, can find themselves in crisis situations.
